Adventure at the vet...

Last week we took Ginger to the vet to get her booster and to get weighed. She did pretty well once the vet gave her some canned cheese to distract her from the shot! We had her for only 2 weeks and she had already weighed 16 pounds! That is a 6 pound gain from when we got her!

Anyways, since she was so good at the vet we decided to take her swimming.

When we got home we noticed that her eye started to swell. At first we thought she got bit by something or had some water in her eye...then it started getting worse. We called the vet and she said that Ginger was having an allergic reaction to the shot. Being the good parent I am I was laughing and had to take a picture of the poor thing.

In the 10 minutes it took to get to the vet's office to get some prednisone, her other eye and nose started to swell! All night she was puffed up like she had been in a boxing match!

Luckily the next day she was back to normal.
