Honeymoon in Costa Rica!

We went to Costa Rica after the wedding, which was amazing!

We flew out of Boston and then had about a 6-7 hour layover in Houston. I have to say there is not much to do in an airport but sleep.
Once we arrived in Costa Rica it was about 6pm. It was already dark out so we didn't get to see anything upon landing or on the drive to the hotel. Once we got to the hotel we were met with a fresh fruit basket and towels shaped like swans with rose petals!

The next day we were finally able to see the view from our balcony! It was gorgeous!

While in Costa Rica, we did a lot of touristy stuff like the jungle zip line, Arenal volcano tour, and laying on the beach.
We were able to go scuba diving which was great although we didn't have a waterproof camera to take pictures. We saw sharks, rays, and lots of other fish.

One of the best parts of the trip, or at least I think so, was the fishing. This was my first time deep sea fishing and I was very excited! We were able to go out twice; once for mahi mahi and once for rooster fish.

Here is a mahi mahi...

And here is the rooster fish! Wow, those fish can really fight!

The rooster fish was so difficult to reel in! I will admit I needed Jim to help with that one!

Monkeys were everywhere! We were lucky enough to have some hang outside our room in the trees almost every night.

Hopefully someday we will be able to go back ...
