Before the race there was a Survivor Parade where all the survivors got to partake in. They all received hot pink boas and pink T-shirts to wear at the race so they could be easily recognized and it is amazing how many there were! They then all made a giant pink ribbon for a photo op.

Some players from the Indianapolis Colts were even there showing their support. Not sure who they are but I took a picture anyways!
The race started at 9:10am at the IUPUI campus. There were so many people it was difficult to run the first 1/2 mile or so because it was so crowded.
The course went by the Indianapolis Zoo where even the elephants got into the spirit!
I can see the finish line...
Sponsors were giving away food and I got a cape from the Fuze people. When I got home Ginger wore it to show her support as well!
I want to thank everyone who generously gave a donation for the Susan B. Koman Foundation. This is definitely a race I want to participate every year and a cause that is close to my heart having had a cousin who lost her battle with breast cancer over 10 years ago and several aunts who are survivors. More recently a friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer and will be undergoing surgery next week.
Thanks again for another successful year!
